Warrior Arts of Asia in Toronto, ON. This hybrid volunteer role blends in-person interactions with remote tasks to promote Filipino martial arts and self-defense programs.
Join Combat Science in preserving Filipino cultural heritage through martial arts training and trauma-informed self-defense programs. As a volunteer, you will create impactful communication for classes, events, and outreach initiatives.
Your role will involve researching community opportunities and assisting in events while maintaining a focus on empowerment and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create social media content highlighting cultural events and classes
• Support newsletters and basic marketing materials for communication
• Research local community groups and outreach opportunities
• Maintain organized communication records and logs
• Respond warmly to inquiries in a trauma-informed manner
Requirements:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience or interest in community outreach or customer service
• Research skills for community engagement
• Interest in Filipino martial arts and self-defense
• Organizational skills and reliability for hybrid tasks
Contribute to community-building and empower individuals through self-defense education and outreach at Combat Science.
