Salary Range: CA $17.60 To CA $18.60 Hourly

What You Will Work On

Under the Volunteer Coordinator, the Volunteer Services Assistant is responsible for assisting in all areas within the department, including, but not limited to, the following:

How You’ll Create Impact

  • Assist with administrative duties such as record keeping, inputting data, and maintaining schedules.
  • Maintain the Volunteer Management platform to generate volunteer reports.
  • Assist in Volunteer Management platform training for volunteers and staff.
  • Assist in the orientation sessions to equip new volunteers.
  • Collect survey feedback from volunteers for evaluation reports.
  • Maintain effective communication with volunteers and staff.
  • Other tasks as needed.
  • MUST be eligible to work in Canada legally for Shepherd Village

What Are Your Skills and Experience

  • Enrollment in or graduation from a Post‑Secondary Program (diploma or degree) in Office Administration, Social Work, Human Services or a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
  • Excellent communication, social and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers is an asset.
  • Creative and open to new ideas
  • Can work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of volunteer management platforms is an asset.
