Live More is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to empowering Black youth—especially immigrants—through creative expression, mental health support, and community building. We design and host workshops, art-based wellness events, peer support spaces, and community gatherings that center healing, culture, and connection.
Role OverviewAs a Logistics & Event Support Lead, you will play a critical role in bringing Live More’s events and programs to life. You’ll be responsible for coordinating the behind-the-scenes details that ensure our in-person and virtual events run smoothly. From securing venues and managing supplies to supporting event setup and breakdown, your organizational skills will directly support impactful, healing-focused spaces for youth and community members.

- Support transportation of staff, volunteers, and equipment
- Purchase and manage event supplies (food, drinks, materials, etc.)
- Ensure equipment (microphones, speakers, lights, projectors) is set up and functioning
- Oversee printing and preparation of posters, banners, and materials
- Set up and manage online platforms for virtual sessions and talks
- Act as a point person to ensure smooth, organized, and welcoming event experiences
- Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills and comfortable using computers and online tools
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Respectful, non-judgmental, and inclusive of diverse values and beliefs
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physically able to assist with event setup and take-down
- Creative problem-solver who enjoys hands‑on work
- Passionate about youth mental health and community empowerment
- Legal residency in Canada (citizenship, PR, work permit, or valid visa)
- Valid G driver’s license (mandatory)
- Access to a vehicle is an asset
- Reliable and able to meet volunteer commitments
- Willingness to follow Live More policies, procedures, and Code of Ethics
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Access to a laptop or smartphone and reliable internet
- Willingness to sign a Volunteer Work Agreement
- Participation in training and development opportunities
