Position: Development Officer - Grant Writer Role

The Stop Community Food Centre is seeking a dedicated Grant Writer for a permanent position of 30 hours per week. In this role, you will develop engaging proposals while overseeing grant fundraising efforts. Collaborating closely with program and finance staff, your insights will help shape successful funding applications aligned with The Stop's mission for food access and community support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and submit grant applications and funding communications

• Manage funder relationships through cultivation and reporting

• Conduct prospect research for funding opportunities

• Build relationships with program staff for accurate program understanding

• Collaborate with teams to create funding proposals

Requirements:

• Minimum three years’ grant writing experience

• Proven success in managing foundation relationships

• Exceptional storytelling and communication skills

• Strong research and project management abilities

• Familiarity with donor management systems
