Role Overview
We are seeking up to 4 passionate and organized individuals as Volunteer Community Gardening Team Leaders to supervise teams of volunteers, initially in the preparation of our new garden space, and throughout the 2026 growing season in planting, nurturing and harvesting. This individual will help cultivate not only plants, but also relationships, fostering a spirit of service, sustainability, fellowship and fun.
You will also contribute to our planning team with your knowledge in soil preparation, crop selection, timing and environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and oversee volunteer teams in soil preparation, seasonal planting and garden maintenance
Supervise and support volunteers of all ages and skill levels
Supervise the proper use and care of tools, supplies, and garden spaces
Promote environmentally sustainable gardening practices
Qualifications
Interest or experience in gardening, urban agriculture, or landscaping
Ability and willingness to lead and encourage volunteers
A heart for community outreach and service
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
