Position: Advocacy Consultant for Black Communities - TCHC
Join the Centre for Advancing the Interests of Black People as a Community Advocacy Consultant and help enhance the lives of Black tenants in Northwest Toronto. Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work setup while making a difference.

As a key player in this role, you will report to the Centre Director and focus on creating frameworks that allow Black residents and staff to achieve their full potential. Your leadership in community initiatives will involve collaboration with local partners and project management, aimed at delivering equitable and accessible services to diverse neighborhoods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive community level initiatives in key neighborhoods

• Build relationships with B3 organizations for collaboration

• Keep abreast of community service sectors pertinent to Black residents

• Collaborate with teams and support project delivery

• Mentor Tenant Workshop Facilitators in program development

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years in community engagement roles

• In-depth knowledge of anti-oppression principles

• Experience with TCHC communities in Northwest Toronto

• Ability to interpret data and prepare reports

• Strong organizational and time management skills
