Drive impactful employment advocacy with CNIB as the Lead in Toronto. Focus on employer engagement and inclusive hiring for individuals with disabilities while working within the Greater Toronto Area.
This full-time contract position runs from June 30, 2026 to June 29, 2027. You will champion initiatives promoting employment for people who are blind, partially sighted, or Deafblind. Collaborating with outreach and advocacy colleagues, you'll identify employer engagement opportunities and strengthen inclusive hiring practices throughout Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead advocacy initiatives focused on employer engagement
• Recruit and manage community engagement volunteers
• Develop relationships with businesses for warm leads
• Collaborate with outreach teams for effective engagement
• Promote awareness of accessibility and inclusive hiring
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of employment advocacy and accessibility
• Proven relationship-building skills with business stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Experience with outreach and community engagement
• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
Utilize your skills to enhance community advocacy for meaningful employment opportunities across Ontario.
