Lead national fundraising efforts as the Director of Philanthropy at Shelter Movers. Ensure sustainable support for survivors of gender-based violence across Canada while fostering community engagement.
In this leadership role, you'll drive the development and execution of a national fundraising strategy, targeting over $5 million annually. Engage with major donors, foundations, and community partners while enhancing the organization’s visibility and mission in breaking the cycle of violence. Collaboration with senior leaders, volunteers, and the board is essential to manage and strengthen donor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop annual fundraising plans and performance targets
• Manage major donor portfolios exceeding $2 million
• Lead donor cultivation and stewardship strategies
• Oversee fundraising operations and reporting
• Support strategic planning alongside the Leadership Team
Requirements:
• 10+ years in progressive fundraising roles
• Demonstrated success in securing substantial gifts
• Experience in team leadership and performance management
• Commitment to equity and survivor-centered services
• Strong strategic planning and communication skills
