Environmental Program Coordinator

Engage in sustainability efforts as an Environmental Program Coordinator with the Toronto Environmental Alliance for an 8-week contract. Support zero waste projects and community initiatives in Toronto.

This full-time role emphasizes a commitment to environmental issues. The Coordinator will collaborate with the TEA Campaigns Team, promoting sustainability and engaging residents in initiatives like reducing single-use foodware.

Your role will involve community outreach, project support, and assisting with environmental policy tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in promoting sustainability for FIFA 2026 events

• Support zero waste and reuse pilot project tracking

• Engage in community events to promote TEA’s efforts

• Help organize workshops and meetings with partners

• Conduct background research on local environmental issues

Requirements:

• Aged between 15 and 30 at employment start

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Commitment to equity-focused environmental approaches

• Ability to work evenings and weekends for outreach

• Willingness to travel across Toronto for duties
