Elevate the community's needs by serving on the Board of Management at Cecil Community Centre. We invite qualified candidates to help shape programs that matter to local residents.
This role requires a commitment to monthly meetings and collaborative working within committees focused on Finance and Fundraising. You will contribute to developing a stronger, more inclusive environment through effective governance and leadership. Bring your knowledge in not-for-profit law or executive leadership to help guide our important community offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend approximately nine board meetings annually
• Actively engage in a board committee for at least four hours monthly
• Review meeting materials thoroughly in advance
• Strengthen community initiatives through informed decision-making
• Participate in community-building events and programs
Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must reside in the City of Toronto
• Background in finance, labor relations, or governance
• Community service orientation
• Previous experience on a board is preferred
