Position: Indigenous Community Capacity Coordinator Role
Embrace a pivotal role as the Community Capacity Development Coordinator with Indigenous Ministries and Justice. This full-time position supports Indigenous communities in developing sustainable, vibrant ministries through relationship building and program development.

The Community Capacity Development Coordinator (CCDC) works directly with Indigenous United Church communities to strengthen organizational capacities and address community priorities. Key functions include leadership support, educational programming, and fostering relationships with Elders and Councils in alignment with UNDRIP and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner for sustainable ministry plans in Indigenous communities

• Support youth leadership, stewardship, and community healing

• Coordinate workshops and educational opportunities

• Manage stakeholder communications and project documentation

• Develop culturally relevant resources and conduct research

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Indigenous Studies or related field

• 3–5 years of experience with Indigenous communities

• Strong communication and project management skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Willingness to travel frequently
