Step into a leadership role at CNIB as the Lead for Employment Advocacy in Toronto. Drive innovative employer engagement initiatives focused on inclusive hiring and accessibility.

This full-time, contract position involves supporting advocacy efforts for individuals who are blind, partially sighted, or Deafblind. Collaborating closely with community partners, you will spearhead projects to enhance connections with local businesses while fostering a culture of inclusion. You'll manage volunteer teams and engage in effective outreach to ensure impactful partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee advocacy activities aimed at employer engagement

• Build strong community relationships for warm lead generation

• Collaborate with outreach coordinators for effective strategies

• Promote the value of accessibility in hiring

• Track outreach efforts and report on activities

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of employment barriers and advocacy

• Exceptional presentation and networking capabilities

• Proficiency in using engagement tracking tools

• Relevant experience in community outreach or employment services

• Familiarity with GTA outreach strategies is beneficial
