Engage with and support 2
SLGBTQIA+ youth by volunteering with Friends of Ruby. Help create impactful experiences for youth aged 16-29 in an inclusive setting.
Join Friends of Ruby to uplift the well-being of youth in our community. Volunteers contribute significantly to our Youth Drop-In Centre and Transitional Home by offering essential services such as mental health support and housing. With flexible scheduling options, this role allows volunteers to make a tangible impact while growing within a mission-driven organization that values every voice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate programming tailored to youth needs
• Assist with counseling and mental health initiatives
• Provide meals and essential support in our facility
• Engage youth in a positive, welcoming environment
• Support the overall operations and functions of the center
Requirements:
• Willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Experience in community service is beneficial
• Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Ability to volunteer with flexible hours
• Preference given to applicants from the 2
SLGBTQIA+ community
