Program Development Associate Star

Join Toronto Star as a Program Development Associate in a 16-month contract role. Support fundraising initiatives and manage donor relations to strengthen children’s charities across Canada.

This role demands an individual with strong organizational skills and a background in fundraising. You will be instrumental in leading community fundraising efforts, developing engagement materials, and managing a robust database for donor interactions. Supporting varied programs will also require an analytical approach and dedication to service delivery to ensure success in the initiatives of the Toronto Star Children’s Charities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape and execute strategic fundraising initiatives

• Lead community fundraising as a primary liaison

• Develop newsletters and thank‑you letters for donor connections

• Support the grant application process thoroughly

• Manage the Santa Claus Fund volunteer logistics

Requirements:

• Certificate in Fundraising Management or equivalent

• 2-3 years' experience with charities and fundraising

• Expertise in RE NXT database functionality

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web savvy
