Philanthropy Officer Symphony

Elevate the Toronto Symphony Orchestra's fundraising efforts as a Philanthropy Officer focused on Foundations and Institutional Giving. This full-time position is tailored for a skilled grant writer capable of managing diverse funding sources.

In this vital role, you will help shape TSO's fundraising strategy by securing grants from foundations and trusts. Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, you will craft compelling proposals, manage grant tracking, and engage with fund holders. This position offers the chance to influence TSO’s mission through collaborative efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and engage with new funding sources

• Manage the complete grant process and stewardship

• Track important deadlines using organization systems

• Develop financial reports in partnership with Finance

• Support the future US Foundation initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years in grant writing and stewardship

• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills

• Expertise in fundraising software and databases

• Excellent organizational abilities

• Knowledge of performing arts is a plus
