- Develop and execute comprehensive annual fundraising campaigns that align with Uja's strategic objectives and mission.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and donor relations, to create cohesive messaging and materials for campaigns.
- Analyze past campaign performance to identify trends, successes, and areas for improvement, using data to inform future strategies.
- Manage the campaign calendar, ensuring that all deadlines are met and that campaigns are launched on schedule.
- Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors through personalized outreach, including phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
- Create engaging content for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and the Uja website, to promote campaigns and encourage donations.
- Organize and oversee fundraising events, including planning logistics, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring a positive experience for attendees.
- Monitor and report on campaign progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders and making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Develop and maintain a database of donor information, ensuring accurate records of contributions and interactions for future reference.
- Collaborate with the finance team to track campaign budgets and ensure that fundraising goals are met efficiently.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in fundraising to continuously enhance Uja's annual campaign strategies.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff or volunteers involved in campaign activities, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- A bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in fundraising, campaign management, or a similar role within the nonprofit sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing fundraising campaigns and achieving financial targets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and engaging diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in using fundraising software and CRM systems to manage donor relationships and track campaign performance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that all campaign elements are executed flawlessly.
- Experience with digital marketing strategies, including social media advertising and email marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with grant writing and securing funding from foundations or government sources.
- Knowledge of the local community and its philanthropic landscape, particularly within the Jewish community.
- Previous experience in event planning and execution, particularly for fundraising purposes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with fundraising platforms such as Blackbaud, Donor Perfect, or similar CRM tools.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their role in fundraising and community engagement.
- Basic graphic design skills using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite would be an asset.
- This position is based in North York, Ontario, and may require occasional travel for events or donor meetings.
