What you'll do
  • Develop and implement social impact strategies that align with Lyft's corporate goals and community needs, focusing on transportation equity and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and public policy, to integrate social impact initiatives into broader business strategies.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify community needs and opportunities for Lyft's involvement, ensuring that programs are data-driven and effective.
  • Manage relationships with community organizations and stakeholders, fostering partnerships that enhance Lyft's presence and impact in local areas.
  • Organize and lead community outreach events, workshops, and forums to engage with residents and gather feedback on Lyft's services and initiatives.

  • Advocate for transportation equity by participating in local policy discussions and representing Lyft at community meetings and events.

  • Assist in the development of grant proposals and funding applications to secure resources for social impact projects.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create awareness campaigns that highlight Lyft's social impact efforts and encourage community participation.
  • Provide support to the Social Impact team in various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication across all initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, public policy, communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in social impact, community engagement, or a related area, preferably within the transportation or technology sectors.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, and corporate partners.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in public speaking and presenting to various audiences.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for social justice, equity, and community development, with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by underserved populations.
Nice to have
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, particularly within a tech or transportation company.
