Banquet Server

Job description:

We are seeking a friendly and professional Banquet Server to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional guest services during events and ensuring a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, or the food industry. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where customer satisfaction is our top priority.

Duties

• Serve food and beverages to guests at banquets, receptions, and special events with professionalism and courtesy
• Set up, maintain, and reset banquet rooms according to event standards
• Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed to ensure timely service
• Ensure all food handling and safety standards are strictly followed in accordance with food safety regulations
• Serve plated meals, buffets, wine, cocktails, and beverages efficiently and professionally
• Assist with room setup, polishing, table settings, and event breakdown
• Provide attentive guest services, addressing any special requests or concerns promptly
• Collaborate with event staff and kitchen personnel to ensure smooth operation of events
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance throughout each shift
• Other duties assign by manager

Skills

• Valid Smart Serve Certification (required)
• Strong English communication skills, spoken and written (required)
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
• Previous experience in banquet, hospitality, restaurant, catering, or customer service is considered an asset
• Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and food safety standards
• Ability to serve efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction well
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and carry trays or banquet equipment when required
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night events is require
• Must be legally able to work in Canada
