Experienced Bartender

Baro is one of Toronto's premier dining and nightlife destinations, spanning multiple distinct experiences under one roof — restaurant, lounge, rooftop patio, and a high-volume private events program. We're looking for an experienced cocktail bartender who can deliver consistent, high-quality craft cocktails at both restaurant pace and nightlife volume.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve classic and craft cocktails to a high, consistent standard across service periods
• Maintain full command of the bar program — recipes, techniques, and seasonal/menu changes
• Manage bar mise en place: batching, garnishes, stocking, and inventory par levels
• Deliver attentive, knowledgeable guest service, including recommendations and upselling
• Operate POS accurately, handle cash/card transactions, and reconcile floats
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant bar station throughout service
• Work efficiently under high-volume, fast-paced conditions (events, weekend nightlife)
• Collaborate with bar, floor, and management teams to ensure smooth service
• Uphold all responsible service and compliance standards (AGCO / Smart Serve)

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume craft cocktail, restaurant, or nightlife environment
• Strong technical bartending skills: classic techniques, spirits knowledge, and speed under pressure
• Valid Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)
• Professional, guest-focused demeanor with a polished, hospitality-first attitude
• Ability to work late nights, weekends, and event-driven schedules
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting demands
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Experience with POS systems
