Butler's is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and organized Dishwasher to join our kitchen team.
The Dishwasher plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This position is responsible for ensuring that all dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, and readily available for service.

Key Responsibilities
1. Dishwashing & Kitchen Equipment
Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Operate and maintain commercial dishwashing machines according to established procedures.
Ensure clean plates, cutlery, and cookware are consistently available during service.
Organize and maintain a clean and efficient dishwashing station.
Inspect dishes and equipment to ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation.
Report damaged or broken equipment to kitchen management.
2. Kitchen Cleanliness & Sanitation
Maintain cleanliness throughout all kitchen and dishwashing areas.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly and at the end of each shift.
Clean and sanitize sinks, counters, shelving, and workstations.
Empty garbage and recycling bins regularly and replace liners.
Clean and maintain garbage disposal and waste storage areas.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
Assist with scheduled deep-cleaning duties throughout the kitchen.
3. Kitchen Support & Organization
Assist chefs and kitchen staff with general cleaning and organizational tasks.
Properly organize and store clean kitchen equipment.
Help receive, unpack, and organize deliveries when required.
Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and stored safely.
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Assist with basic kitchen preparation tasks when directed by management and appropriately trained.
4. Opening & Closing Responsibilities
Ensure the dishwashing station is fully stocked and operational before service.
Check dishwashing chemicals, equipment, and cleaning supplies.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout service.
Complete all assigned closing and cleaning duties.
Ensure floors, drains, garbage areas, and dishwashing equipment are properly cleaned before leaving.
Obtain manager approval before completing the shift.
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous dishwashing or restaurant kitchen experience is an asset but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 40 lbs (18 kg).
Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with others.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Work Efficiently: Ensure dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and returned promptly without disrupting kitchen operations.
Support the Team: Communicate with chefs, cooks, and management to prioritize equipment needs during busy service.
Demonstrate Reliability: Arrive on time, prepared for work, and complete all assigned duties.
Follow Safety Standards: Adhere to proper chemical handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Take Ownership: Proactively identify cleaning needs and assist without waiting to be asked.
Working Conditions
Fast-paced restaurant and sports bar environment.
Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Exposure to heat, moisture, cleaning chemicals, and wet surfaces.
Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
