Canada’s energy and utility sector is entering a major period of grid modernisation, asset renewal, and operational digitalisation. Our client is a globally established industrial software provider whose solutions sit at the centre of how utilities improve reliability, performance, and resilience across critical electrical infrastructure.
With strong international foundations and growing momentum in North America, the business is now investing in dedicated leadership to expand its presence across the Canadian market.
This role can be remote or hybrid , with travel across Canada as required.
The Opportunity
This is a strategic new business role focused on developing long-term partnerships with provincial utilities, transmission operators, and grid management organisations.
You will lead complex enterprise sales cycles, engage senior operational and technical stakeholders, and help position our client as a trusted partner in modernising mission‑critical grid operations.
It’s a role for someone who enjoys owning a market, shaping strategy, and closing high‑value, multi‑stakeholder deals.
Key Responsibilities
Driving new business development across Canada’s utility and energy transmission landscape
Managing end-to-end enterprise sales cycles involving operational, engineering, IT, and executive stakeholders
Building strong, credible relationships with senior decision‑makers in grid and asset operations
Contributing to the regional go‑to‑market strategy alongside global sales leadership
Representing the organisation at key energy and utility industry events
Working closely with pre‑sales, product, and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with customer needs
Your Profile
We’re looking for a proven enterprise sales leader with a strong understanding of Canada’s energy ecosystem:
7+ years of enterprise software sales experience in industrial software or energy technology
Experience selling into Canadian utilities, transmission operators, or system operators
A track record of closing complex, multi‑stakeholder deals with long sales cycles
An established network across the Canadian energy and utility market
Strong executive communication and negotiation skills
A self‑motivated, strategic approach suited to a growing international business
Why Consider This Role
Strategic role with a globally respected industrial software organisation
Real opportunity to influence growth in the Canadian market
Exposure to projects that directly impact grid performance and operational resilience
A culture that values ownership, autonomy, and long‑term customer partnerships
If you understand how to sell into utilities and know how to navigate complex operational environments, this is a chance to take ownership of a market that genuinely matters.
