As the Director of Retail Sales, you will be responsible for developing and guiding the implementation of account-specific business plans, achieving account profitability and sales targets, and serving as the primary contact for key accounts. You will also play a pivotal role in increasing the distribution of our key brand items.
- Develop account strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Establish influential and meaningful connections with customers to effectively collaborate to create account goals and business plans.
- Conduct regular reviews of business performance, promotional strategies, and planograms to ensure optimal effectiveness.
- Attend and participate in mature business customer events, including trade shows, in-person meetings, and headquarters meetings.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all products in the Worx product brand portfolio and owned brands for the local market.
- Partner with the marketing team on promotional development initiatives.
- Forecast, budget, and track account revenues and costs.
- Participate in the development and implementation of account financial support programs, business-building programs, and supply chain support initiatives.
- Continuous assortment architecture optimization with key customers aimed at maximizing sales revenue.
- Collaborate with overseas colleagues to align on account specific needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
ABOUT YOU
Does this role sound like a match for you? Here's what we're looking for:
- 4-year degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 5 years or more outside sales experience; experience managing customers in any of the following channels:
Home Improvement, big box retailers that sell OPE products, Hardware, Co-Op Hardware. - Outdoor Power Equipment industry and/or power tool industry expertise required. Experience with a major manufacturer or National Brand is preferred.
- Lead and manage the sales process and expertise in new product creation.
- Expertise in sales forecasting including margin analysis and responsibility for account profitability.
- Assist in creating and maintaining competitive product landscapes.
- Strong desire to work on a small team and in a start‑up business environment.
- Willingness to work across traditional job role boundaries – multi‑functional teamwork.
- Ability to operate outdoor power equipment (or willingness to learn and become an expert).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
