THE DEPARTMENT

The Direct Sales Team consisting of Customer Sales & Service, Charters & Direct Groups is responsible for creating happy guests and partners with sales success and providing outstanding service and support. This team increases passenger sales through the direct consumer and group sales channels. They develop and maintain emerging markets channels by integrating sales and marketing strategies to establish direct buyer relationships and create demand for our products.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Lead Connector plays a critical role in our outbound sales team by ensuring every warm lead from our website and marketing channels receives fast, professional, and persistent follow‑up. This role focuses on connecting with prospective customers, uncovering intent, providing an excellent first experience, providing quotes and seamlessly passing qualified opportunities to our Outbound Vacation Planners to continue the sales journey.

This position is perfect for someone who is energetic, customer-focused, great on the phone, and excited to grow into a sales career. This role reports to the Outbound Sales Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to new website-generated leads same day, meeting established speed‑to‑lead requirements.
  • Provides quotes for vacations, when applicable, as part of the lead outreach
  • Execute a structured outreach cadence (via phone, email, and voicemail) to maximize connection rates.
  • Accurately document all outreach attempts, customer conversations, and outcomes in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Convert qualified Leads into Opportunities in Dynamics with complete and accurate notes.
  • Provide a clean, professional handoff to Outbound Vacation Planners, ensuring they have context for the next step.
  • Connection requirements:
    • Connect – call and email customer until you connect or have met maximum outreach requirements
    • New Leads – outreach to new Leads same day
    • Existing Leads – outreach to all existing leads until you connect or have met maximum outreach requirements
    • Qualify Lead and convert into Opportunity for Vacation Planners on the team to close
  • Maintain knowledge of products, competitive key differences, marketing campaigns, and exhibit destination expertise
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing accurate, timely, and quality information about products and promotions provided, securing lifelong customers
  • Meet sales objectives and KPIs
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Participate in regular training to enhance skills
    • Meet regularly with Supervisor to discuss metrics and performance
    • Participate in weekly team meetings and Teams Chats
    • Rotating Saturday shift required. Will receive one day off that week to compensate
    • Overtime as needed by business needs
    • Earn TICO Certification to connect with Canada guests
    • Other opportunities/projects as assigned

An ideal candidate will be a self-starter, possess strong organizational skills, polished time management, money and customer experience motivated, enjoy working individually as well as collaboratively.

Must be interested in dialing out consistently throughout the day to connect with customers and increase our Lead Connection metric.

Must have a good understanding and execution of close ratios, performance consistency, and a passion for travel is welcome.
