The Vice President, Wealth Management plays a pivotal role in shaping HEB’s growth by developing, expanding, and optimizing sales channels within Canada’s wealth management sector. This leader strengthens Home Equity Bank’s competitive position by building a new originations channel for reverse mortgages and equity‑lending solutions designed for Canadians aged 55+.
This role is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing new partnerships with investment and wealth firms — extending well beyond traditional third‑party mortgage distribution. The VP reimagines channel diversification by defining strategic direction, introducing bold ideas, and driving innovative partnerships that accelerate advisor adoption and overall sales performance.
The leader optimizes current sales activities, identifies opportunities to enhance productivity, and guides a national team to deepen advisor engagement, broaden distribution, and deliver incremental sales growth. Success includes meeting annual reverse‑mortgage origination targets outlined in the corporate plan and establishing new partnership agreements that support mid‑ and long‑term growth.
Based at HEB’s Toronto head office, the VP collaborates closely with leaders across Direct‑to‑Consumer, Broker, and Bank Referral channels, as well as Operations, Credit, and Regional Sales Directors. The role is instrumental in elevating product awareness, managing the sales process, providing insight into activity and performance, and developing programs that drive increased mortgage originations.

- Build, expand, and optimize a new wealth‑focused originations channel for reverse mortgages and equity‑lending solutions.
- Identify, develop, and secure new partnerships with wealth and investment firms across Canada.
- Define channel strategy, introduce innovative partnership models, and accelerate advisor engagement.
- Lead and mentor a national sales team, driving performance, productivity, and execution against growth targets.
- Optimize current sales processes while identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and impact.
- Generate incremental sales by expanding distribution streams and strengthening HEB’s presence within the wealth management ecosystem.
- Achieve annual origination targets and secure new partnerships aligned to mid‑ and long‑term corporate growth plans.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with leaders across Sales, Operations, Credit, and Marketing to drive product awareness and deliver seamless sales experiences.
- Provide sales insights, activity reporting, and performance analysis to inform strategy and decision‑making.
- Develop and implement programs, tools, and initiatives that increase advisor adoption and drive mortgage originations.
- Senior level sales and business development experience within the wealth management and/or financial services sector.
- Demonstrated success building and managing partnerships with wealth management, investment, or advisory firms.
- Deep understanding of financial planning models, advisor channels, and distribution dynamics in Canada.
- Proven ability to design, launch, and scale new sales channels.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical, and execution skills.
- University degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or related field; MBA is an asset.
