Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time, remote, commission‑based opportunity for a Commercial Mortgage Agent seeking to build a long‑term business in commercial finance.
This role is ideal for entrepreneurial, self‑driven professionals who want to establish their own commercial mortgage and financing practice while leveraging HALO’s brand, training, lender relationships, and internal support.
You will work closely with business owners, investors, and developers to understand their financial objectives, structure commercial mortgage and financing solutions, manage applications from origination to funding, and maintain strong client and referral relationships across Canada.

- Originate and manage commercial mortgage and financing applications
- Advise clients on commercial real estate and business financing strategies
- Structure, submit, and manage deals through to funding
- Develop and maintain relationships with developers, real estate investors, and business owners
- Implement mortgage marketing and business development strategies
- Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards
- Understanding of commercial real estate and financing (experience preferred)
- Strong relationship‑building, communication, and negotiation skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience in commercial finance, real estate, or business lending is an asset
- Post‑secondary education in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
