Job Description
Sun Life Global Investments is an asset management firm based in Canada. We are looking for a driven and ambitious sales leader to work within our Wealth Distribution team in the Northern GTA region. The role involves promoting and selling a range of investment products to financial advisors.
Responsibilities- Conduct face‑to‑face meetings with full‑service brokerage (FSB) advisors and team members.
- Provide thought leadership, practice management and portfolio analysis to promote SLGI’s product line‑up.
- Achieve sales targets for mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, segregated funds and payout annuities by leveraging existing relationships and prospecting new advisor relationships.
- Develop and deliver an outstanding advisor experience through sales meetings and investor seminars.
- Represent Sun Life Global Investments in the local financial community and build strong relationships with advisors and industry associations.
- Create and implement a comprehensive territory coverage plan.
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan to drive sales results and increase market share.
- Identify new sales opportunities through existing or new partnerships.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape and industry developments to inform sales strategies.
- Provide leadership to the Wealth Sales Representative and Wealth Sales Coordinator, cultivating a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Work with the Regional Vice President and fellow Wealth Sales Directors to define, promote and share best practices.
- Experience supporting fully licensed CIRO/IIROC financial advisors.
- University degree or equivalent industry education.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
- In‐depth knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, segregated funds, annuities and the financial markets.
- Extensive knowledge of the Wealth Management industry and competitive landscape.
- Ability to think and respond quickly, adapt to change in a fast‑growing area of personal financial services.
- Professional Financial Planner (PFP), Chartered Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Investment Management (CIM) designations are an asset.
- Competitive base salary ranging from CAD 110,000 to CAD 180,000 per year.
- Variable compensation plan that rewards outstanding sales results, based on individual and company performance.
- Incentive plans may be based on individual or group sales results.
