Business Development Manager; Inside Sales
Overview
PICTON Investments is seeking an ambitious, energetic, investment-focused Inside Sales Associate to join our growing Retail Distribution team. This is your chance to contribute meaningfully to our sales success and client growth across Canada. You’ll work closely with a Vice President, Retail Sales to support and drive investment fund sales, build relationships with advisors, and promote our alternative investment strategies — including hedge funds, liquid alternatives, and long/short portfolios.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Actively prospect and grow our network of financial advisors using a consultative sales approach
- Collaborate with your assigned External Wholesaler to execute sales initiatives and grow AUM
- Support territory business plans and identify new opportunities across IIROC and MFDA channels
- Meet and exceed activity targets: outbound calls, emails, virtual meetings, and advisor appointments
- Provide proactive service to advisors and clients, coordinating closely with the Wholesaler
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of investment products: mutual funds, hedge funds, ETFs, and more
- Accurately record and track all advisor engagements in CRM (Salesforce)
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to sales strategy sessions
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) completed or in progress within the first year
- Additional designations (CIM, CFA Level I+, CFP) are strong assets
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales, client service, or business development in financial services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in French
- Self-starter, organized, persistent, and eager to build a long-term career in investment distribution
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
- Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, or training
