Area Vice President, Sales, Financial Services – Canada Enterprise

Salesforce is seeking a transformational leader to serve as a key member of the Sales Leadership Team. This Area Vice President will be responsible for inspirational sales leadership and management of growth within the Financial Services Business Unit (Enterprise) in Canada, through aggressively growing top‑line revenues and driving new business through the implementation of scalable, repeatable, structured systems and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Set and implement Salesforce’s Canada Financial Services sales strategy.
  • Lead a growing sales organization including Regional Vice Presidents and Account Executives to steer complex deal transactions.
  • Execute an aggressive customer acquisition strategy to generate growth in revenue and bookings.
  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop strategies for expanding the Canadian Enterprise customer base within the Financial Services industry.
  • Maintain strong reporting and accountability against numbers, driving to exceed quotas while managing motivating incentive tools.
  • Act as a strategic thought leader and advisor to the SVP, Financial Services.
  • Collaborate with functions and other executives across the organization to establish strong, collaborative partnerships for continued success.
  • Manage the overall sales process and set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management.
  • Plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels.
Required Qualifications
  • 1st or 2nd line leadership experience leading teams in strategic sales.
  • Deep industry expertise in the Financial Services sector.
  • Consistent over achievement of quota and revenue goals.
  • Solid track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining high‑performing sales organizations.
  • 12+ years in software and/or applications sales (ideally in a CRM, ERP, or other relevant software company), selling primarily to the CxO level.
  • Proven ability to drive transformational change across a large organization: understands drivers of cultural change, performance assessment, continuous sales organization refresh, and capability building.
  • Excellent operational and analytical abilities.
  • Consistent track record of building satisfied, loyal and referenceable customers.
  • Dynamic and strong sales execution mindset with a passion for a fast‑paced, growing environment.
  • Experience working within a highly matrixed organization and establishing relationships across all functions.
  • Experience selling cloud‑based enterprise applications is strongly preferred.
  • Champions diversity of team, thought, and opinion with a demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse team members.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on values, behaviors, and relevant experience.
Benefits

For Ontario‑based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is CAD 249,000 to CAD 299,000 annually. The range represents base salary only and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, or other benefits, as applicable.
