Base Salary – $52,500 per year + profit sharing.
We are currently seeking new or recent graduates to join our Management Development Program. This is a full‑time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to earn profit sharing.
Please note that successful candidates may be required to relocate within Canada to complete their training. Relocation assistance will be provided. We have opportunities available across the country.
The RoleAs a Management Trainee, you will progress through a 4‑phase program to learn every aspect of how our business operates – from shipping and receiving, counter sales, operations management to employee development and more. You will develop a sales territory, provide world‑class customer service, and receive guidance, mentoring, and support from current managers and teammates both regionally and nationwide to build a successful management career at EMCO.
ProgramOutline
Phase 1 – 12 months:
Warehouse and Customer Service – Build product knowledge and gain hands‑on experience with logistics, customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, and financial statements.
Phase 2 – 12 months:
Customer Relationships and Procurement – Transition from customer service to managing large‑scale projects, building vendor relationships, and creating material quotes from blueprint drawings.
Phase 3 – 15–18 months:
Account Management and Proactive Sales – Focus on business development, identify new business opportunities, sell products, negotiate contracts, and expand the customer base.
Phase 4 – 3 months:
Leadership and Operations – Lead a team, mentor others, and run the business by developing leadership competencies, coaching, mentoring, and setting vision and strategy.
Upon completion, you will be ready to take on the challenge of being a manager at one of our Canadian Profit Center locations.
Qualifications- University degree or college diploma – all disciplines of study will be considered

- Excellent leadership, customer service, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and high standard of integrity
- Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Strong interest in sales
- Valid driver’s license
