Bilingual Mortgage Solutions Manager; EN/FR - Tangerine
Overview
Requisition . Tangerine is Canada’s leading direct bank, focused on digital banking and client service. We are looking for a Mortgage Solutions Manager to provide customized mortgage solutions and advice, manage the full journey of new mortgage acquisition, and drive business growth through a consultative experience.
Responsibilities- Ensure seamless, consultative experience for clients throughout the mortgage acquisition process, including purchase transactions, switches, and new HELOCs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them from lead to funding.
- Build and maintain strong relationships by following disciplined sales‑development activities.
- Initiate every client conversation with open‑ended questions to uncover and validate client goals and objectives.
- Present tailored mortgage options and provide clear recommendations based on client needs.
- Serve as the face of Tangerine Secured Lending, developing and maintaining mortgage expertise.
- Manage an assigned portfolio of potential and existing mortgage clients and actively source new clients through referrals and outbound efforts.
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to funding, qualifying leads and guiding clients through pre‑approval, application, and funding.
- Achieve monthly mortgage origination and sales targets, identifying opportunities for cross‑sell and referrals to other Tangerine products.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters, to facilitate timely mortgage approvals and closing while adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Communicate required documents and updates promptly, setting expectations and seeking alternative solutions where needed.
- Fluency in both English and French (required).
- Minimum 3 years of proven success in the mortgage industry or a related field.
- Sales experience (required).
- Underwriting and fulfillment experience preferred.
- University or College degree in a business discipline is an asset.
- Robust commitment to trust development, client experience, and delivering exceptional service.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build rapport.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to succeed in a variable compensation, sales environment.
- Administrative knowledge and documentation skills to meet lending guidelines.
- Full knowledge of Tangerine Bank products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, both Tangerine specific and market offerings.
- Outbound calling capabilities and ability to establish credibility with clients.
- Proficiency with all MS Office products.
