Our clients include corporations of all sizes, non-profit organizations, trade unions, and associations. Our products are tailored specially for niche markets and include Basic and Voluntary AD&D, Critical Illness, Occupational Accident, Out of Province/Out of Country Medical and Business Travel Accident insurance.
How you will create an impact Growth & Business Development- Support senior leadership in activating a deep national broker and consultant network to generate new business opportunities.
- Manage the new business pipeline: track submissions, coordinate timelines, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Attend client meetings, broker events, and industry conferences alongside senior team members, gaining direct exposure to AIG's distribution network.
- Assist in preparing broker presentations, pitch decks, and tailored proposals that showcase AIG's A&H product suite.
- Build and maintain premium forecasting models to support divisional planning, budgeting, and growth targets.
- Produce regular management reporting on new business activity, pipeline health, renewal rates, and portfolio performance.
- Develop dashboards and executive summaries that translate data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
- Track key performance metrics across the division and flag trends, risks, or opportunities as they emerge.
- Coordinate end-to-end RFP responses, liaise with underwriting, compile content, manage deadlines, and ensure polished final submissions.
- Develop a working knowledge of A&H underwriting fundamentals and learn how risks are assessed, priced, and structured across AIG's product lines.
- Act as the liaison between the sales and underwriting teams on new submissions, ensuring clean, complete intake and smooth workflow.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase the speed and quality of the division's go-to-market execution.
- Support policy issuance, documentation management, and service triage to the broader A&H team as needed.
Expect to spend meaningful time outside the office. This role includes up to 20% travel across Canada: broker visits, client events, conferences, and industry functions. You will be visible in the market and building your own professional network from day one.
- Support the development of marketing materials, product one-pagers, and broker-facing content that position AIG A&H competitively.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends, providing regular intelligence briefs to the team.
- University or college degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in insurance, financial services, or a related analytical or client-facing role (internship experience welcome).
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills: comfortable building models and working with data in Excel or similar tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to put together a compelling presentation or clearly written report.
- Naturally extroverted and relationship-oriented; energized by client interaction and comfortable representing AIG professionally.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
- Self-starter mentality with a genuine interest in learning the insurance business from the inside out.
- Working towards or interested in pursuing a CEBS (GBA) or other insurance designation is an asset.
- Life & A&S license, or willingness to obtain, is an asset.
