As Healthera continues to expand across Canada, we’re looking for an ambitious Business Development Representative to help accelerate our growth.
About the RoleThe Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating qualified sales opportunities for the Commercial Director through proactive outbound prospecting and effective management of inbound leads.
Your primary objective is to identify pharmacies that are a strong fit for Healthera, engage decision-makers, qualify opportunities, and schedule high-quality product demonstrations.
Success in this position will be measured by your ability to consistently create a qualified pipeline, maintain accurate CRM data, and contribute to overall revenue growth.
For the right candidate, this role offers significant opportunities for career growth into Account Executive, Strategic Accounts, or Sales Leadership as Healthera continues to expand.
Salary Band: $60-80k OTE

- Complete comprehensive training on Healthera’s products.
- Become proficient with Hub Spot and our outbound sales process.
- Consistently execute outbound prospecting activities across phone and email.
- Begin booking qualified product demonstrations for the Commercial Director.
- Build a repeatable prospecting rhythm that contributes predictable pipeline growth.
Prospecting & Lead Generation
- High-volume outbound prospecting through phone calls, email, and other channels.
- Research community pharmacies and identify qualified decision-makers.
- Build targeted prospect lists using Hub Spot and other sales tools.
- Generate qualified meetings for the Commercial Director.
- Follow structured outbound sequences while personalizing outreach.
- Re-engage previously lost opportunities through targeted reactivation campaigns.
- Follow up with marketing-generated and inbound leads promptly.
- Qualify opportunities using Healthera’s sales framework.
- Implement AI lead generation tools
- Ensure meetings are booked when a clear business opportunity exists.
- Maintain complete and accurate records within Hub Spot.
- Document all prospect interactions, notes, next steps, and follow-up activities.
- Assist with sales reporting and pipeline management.
- Maintain clean account and contact data.
- Partner with the Commercial Director to review pipeline, strategy, and priorities.
- Share prospect intelligence before scheduled demonstrations.
- Participate in weekly pipeline reviews and sales coaching.
- Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence, and customer insights.
- Develop a strong understanding of:
- Healthera’s products and services
- Community pharmacy workflows
- Pharmacy management systems
- Competitor offerings
- Maintain healthy outbound activity levels.
- Keep CRM data accurate and up to date.
- Create a predictable pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly activity and meeting targets.
- Demonstrate professionalism and build positive first impressions with leads.
- 2+ years in Sales Development, Business Development, or outbound B2B sales.
- Proven success generating meetings through outbound prospecting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls each day.
- Experience using Hub Spot.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability.
- Experience selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment
- Experience selling into healthcare or community pharmacy.
- Experience selling software to SME customers.
- Familiarity with sales engagement platforms and prospecting tools.
- Experience working in a fast-growing technology company.
- Familiarity with AI lead generation tools.
