Are you a driven sales professional who thrives on winning new business and building lasting client relationships?

SPI Health and Safety is looking for a results-oriented and customer-focused Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

This is a hunter-focused individual contributor role ideal for someone who enjoys opening doors, uncovering opportunities, and creating value for customers through consultative selling.

YOUR CHALLENGE

As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing customers. You will leverage your strategic mindset, sales expertise, and industry knowledge to drive revenue growth and position SPI as a trusted partner in workplace health and safety solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and market research;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders;
  • Generate and qualify leads, schedule meetings, and conduct impactful sales presentations;
  • Develop strategic account and territory plans to maximize growth opportunities;
  • Grow revenue within existing accounts while successfully acquiring new customers;
  • Prepare and deliver customized proposals, quotations, and business solutions;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience;
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging business opportunities;
  • Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline management within the CRM;
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, growth objectives, and key performance indicators.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Proven success in B2B business development and new customer acquisition;
  • Strong hunter mentality with a passion for prospecting and closing business;
  • Experience developing strategic sales plans and managing complex sales cycles;
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills;
  • Ability to engage and influence decision-makers at all organizational levels, including senior leadership;
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or health and safety industries is considered a strong asset;
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales performance tools;
  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
