Supply Planner

Established in 1988, DOM International is a food import and logistics company specializing in seafood, particularly salmon and value-added salmon products. We are passionate about providing excellent food quality and customer service to the marketplace.

We continue to grow our team of passionate individuals who share our vision and are seeking an on-site Supply Planner for an 18-month contract
. This position is responsible for assisting with procurement and inventory management, as well as providing sales support. The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of market dynamics, and a passion for building and maintaining strong supplier and customer relationships.

• Create and process purchase orders for required inventory and supplies
• Track and monitor purchase order status
• Ensure proper inventory management
• Prepare reports and analyses on inventory, sales, and purchasing performance
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers; communicate effectively, appropriately, and promptly
• Assist with new product development
• Coordinate scheduling and regulatory requirements with production department
• Provide sustainability information to customers
• Manage customer promotions
• Assist with key account management

• 2-3 years’ experience in inventory management and/or purchasing in the food industry, preferably seafood
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & ERP systems
• Knowledge of inventory management systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in international sales or procurement (asset)
