Lead innovative aquatic projects as a Senior Aquatic Biologist with Jacobs in Ontario. Oversee permitting, mentor biologists, and drive aquatic environmental planning in a full-time, office-based role.

Jacobs is seeking a seasoned Senior Aquatic Biologist based preferably in the Greater Toronto Area. This position demands a

B.Sc., M.Sc., or Doctorate degree with extensive experience in aquatic studies and management. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while providing technical direction for aquatic assessments, regulatory applications, and project implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior biologists

• Oversee aquatic field work and crew management

• Develop project budgets and methodologies

• Liaise with clients and regulatory bodies

• Ensure compliance with Federal Fisheries Act regulations

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in aquatic biology

• Relevant fish or aquatic-related academic qualifications

• MTO/DFO/MNR fisheries protocol training

• Eligible for MTO RAQS registration

• Strong technical writing and review skills
