Xanadu seeks a Senior Scientist with significant experience in Superconducting Nanowire Single Photon Detectors (SNSPDs). This position emphasizes cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment, requiring expertise in cryogenics and photonic hardware.
In this challenging role, you will advance SNSPD technology by designing high-performance systems that utilize your background in optical and cryogenic technologies. You will be responsible for overseeing the development lifecycle of SNSPDs, from concept to large-scale deployment. Collaboration with diverse teams is essential to achieve innovative solutions and enhance detector efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Innovate SNSPD design and performance metrics
• Troubleshoot and operate advanced cryogenic systems
• Work with engineers for packaging and integration
• Develop high-speed RF readout systems
• Validate detector performance through rigorous testing
Requirements:
• PhD in Physics or related discipline, 2+ years of relevant experience
• Expertise in designing and characterizing SNSPDs
• Experience with RF electronics
• Demonstrated cryostat operation skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
