Geologist for Urban Infrastructure Project

Join Ontario Transit Group as a Site Geologist to ensure geological expertise informs urban infrastructure construction in Toronto. Oversee field operations, including drilling and excavation, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

As a Site Geologist at OTG, you will be integral to the Ontario Line project. This role requires a strong background in geological mapping and structural geology to address bedrock conditions effectively. You will work with engineers and project managers to evaluate geological risks and devise solutions that ensure project specifications are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct geological face mapping during excavations

• Evaluate joint features and ground conditions

• Identify and recommend rock support measures

• Participate in Permit-to-Tunnel meetings

• Prepare technical reports on geological risks

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Geology or related field

• Registration in Ontario as P.Geo

• Experience in infrastructure projects

• Strong skills in structural geology

• Familiarity with NATM/SEM tunneling
