Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to staff one (1) indeterminate position. A pool of qualified candidates may be established, and the results may be used to staff same or similar positions for future vacancies of various tenures at Public Services and Procurement Canada.

Operational Requirements:
- Possession of a valid class “G” driver license or equivalent, or personal mobility to the extent normally associated with the possession of a valid driver’s license
- Able and willing to travel to remote sites, construction work sites to access areas of work for inspection or assessment.
- Willing and able to work overtime, as required.
Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following
Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in physics, geology, environmental sciences, environmental studies, environmental engineering, biology, ecology, chemistry, earth sciences, physical geography, or other science or applied science directly relevant to the position.
Experience:
- 1. Experience working on contaminated sites projects involving one or more of the following disciplines:
- a. Phased Environmental Site Assessments
- b. Environmental Risk Assessments
- c. Remediation
- 2. Experience working with stakeholders or contractors or consultants (including sub contractors) during the execution of environmental projects
- 3. Experience in implementing project management principles (for example: schedule development, budget control)
Applied / assessed at a later date
Knowledge:
- 4. Knowledge of contaminated sites management (i.e. phased environmental site assessments, risk assessments and remediation) including federal environmental guidelines.
