Your future role

As an Electrical Technician, you will provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment. Provide coaching and guidance to other staff to heighten their abilities.

You must have your Red Seal (309A Certification) to be able to work at our site

The salary range for this position is $67,500 – $105,000

You’ll specifically take care of

  • Diagnosis and rectification of failures and emergency incidents within established guidelines
  • Contribute to the safety, availability, and reliability of the Power supply and Distribution (PS&D)
    System including the power substation equipment, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), cabling, OCS, “Blue Light Stations” (BLS), and Tunnel Lighting
  • Access to vehicles, tracks, spares, materials, tools, equipment, training, manuals, and procedures for the PS&D maintenance
  • Recommending and implementing techniques and procedures that ensure maintenance to the PS&D System is conducted safely, reliably, efficiently
  • Inspects, tests, and repairs internal distribution cables and electrical substation equipment
  • We’ll look to you for

  • Ensuring the safety and reliability of the system
  • Closure of all Work Orders with accurate information and on time
  • Enforcing all safety regulations and rules in safety meetings and Emergency Preparedness

  • 2 - 3 year work experience in the Electrical maintenance field.
  • 309A in good standing
  • Must possess a valid Class G Driver’s license.
  • Underground/OH High Voltage Experience
  • Familiarity with AC / DC power and control systems
  • Capable of using computers and computer control systems
  • Traveling off-site to outpost locations for repairs, troubleshoot and repairing equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and safety procedures.
