York University Electrician Position

Become an integral part of York University as a skilled Electrician, supporting our facilities with crucial electrical services. This full-time role encompasses maintenance, lighting, and fire alarm systems.

We are looking for an experienced Electrician with a Class 309A qualification. You will ensure safe, efficient electrical operations, maintaining both interior and exterior systems across the Keele, Glendon, and Markham campuses. Your work will directly influence the safety and functionality of our university spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive electrician services and maintenance

• Work on interior and exterior lighting repairs

• Conduct installations and maintenance of fire alarm systems

• Interpret electrical diagrams and schematics efficiently

• Adhere to electrical safety codes and regulations

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Class G driver’s license

• At least 5 years of practical electrician experience

• Ontario 309A certification is a must

• Canadian Fire Alarm Association certification required

• Capable of lifting heavy equipment and climbing heights
