Position: Temporary Fire Alarm Technician Needed
Seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician for a temporary position with CUPE Local 4400. Ensure compliance and perform inspections in a dynamic school environment.

This 1-year temporary role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and includes day shift hours from 7 am to 4 pm. Responsibilities involve minor repairs, inspection, and testing of fire and security alarms in schools. You will work towards maintaining safety standards compliant with the National Building Code of Canada and other regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and test fire/security alarms in schools

• Perform minor repairs on PA systems as needed

• Ensure compliance with safety codes and standards

• Maintain equipment following manufacturer recommendations

• Keep accurate records of vehicle and work maintenance

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of practical fire alarm experience

• Registered Fire Alarm Technician with CFFA

• Valid Ontario Driver’s “G” license required

• Ability to read schematics and plans

• Experience with emergency and monitoring systems
