Aircraft Mechanic
The Aircraft Mechanic services, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs aircraft to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and fully operational. This role focuses on timely maintenance and servicing of aircraft and related equipment, performing daily maintenance and overhaul tasks in accordance with approved procedures. The position may also involve directing the work of apprentices and trades helpers and, when required, flying with aircraft as a flight engineer.
Responsibilities- Service, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all aircraft and associated equipment are maintained and serviced in a timely and efficient manner to support operational readiness.
- Carry out daily aircraft maintenance and overhaul assignments, including scheduled and unscheduled work.
- Check the condition of aircraft and engines, diagnose issues, and perform necessary repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
- Use appropriate tools, equipment, and technical documentation to complete maintenance tasks accurately and safely.
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records and documentation as required by regulations and company procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and quality standards while working in and around aircraft and ground support equipment.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and operations staff to coordinate work and minimize aircraft downtime.
- Direct and guide the work of Aircraft Apprentices and Trades Helpers as required, providing instruction and support.
- When required, fly with the aircraft as a flight engineer to support operations and monitor aircraft systems.
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance with the ability to service, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft and engines.
- A&P or AME-M2 license, or equivalent aircraft maintenance engineer certification.
- 5+ years of line maintenance experience, including hands‑on work in an operational environment.

The position follows a rotating continental shift schedule, with two weeks of day shifts followed by two weeks of night shifts, typically from 6:00 to 6:00. The facility supports professional aircraft maintenance operations with appropriate tools, equipment, and safety standards. Compensation follows a broad pay scale based on years of experience, with licensed mechanics and ACA-qualified mechanics starting at a higher hourly rate, plus eligibility for an additional premium.
Uniforms, boots, and tools are supported through an allowance, contributing to a professional and safety-focused workplace.
This is a Permanent position based out of Toronto, ON.
