Elevate your skills at Alstom as a full-time Maintenance Technician in Etobicoke and Whitby. This role focuses on maintaining and ensuring the operational readiness of rail equipment.
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in rail equipment safety and reliability. Collaborating with operations, engineering, and logistics teams, you will conduct inspections and repairs to facilitate smooth dispatch. Your expertise will be essential in performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, contributing to troubleshooting and equipment fault resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Move rail equipment with a valid operator’s certificate
• Conduct scheduled inspections and repairs on locomotives
• Perform interior and exterior inspections of rail coaches
• Manage systems, including fuel and electrical components
• Utilize hand and power tools for repairs efficiently
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent education
• At least 1 year of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
• Familiarity with AC/DC power and HVAC systems
• Valid Class G Driver’s license
