This role in the Track & Structures department offers two trainee positions focused on track maintenance. You will master various welding processes while fabricating essential jigs and devices for construction. Your responsibilities will include operating state-of-the-art cutting equipment and performing advanced rail welding operations on subway systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate cutting and welding equipment accurately
• Apply various welding processes including thermite and CAD welding
• Fabricate jigs for track construction maintenance
• Perform advanced rail welding on subway tracks
• Remove and replace pavement around rail tracks
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education
• Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s licence
• Ability to follow safety rules and instructions
• Respirator fitted and able to use as required
• Commitment to diversity and workplace inclusion
Develop essential welding skills and support the TTC’s mission in ensuring safe track operations.
