Join Support Ontario Youth as a Program Trade Manager, enhancing apprenticeship opportunities in skilled trades. Drive engagement and develop crucial partnerships that benefit apprentices and employers alike.
As a key player, you will oversee initiatives that connect employers with apprenticeship candidates. This position involves onboarding apprentices and providing valuable mentorship throughout their training. In addition, you will actively participate in community events, raising awareness of careers in skilled trades.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop partnerships with employers and educational institutions
• Facilitate apprentice registration and support
• Conduct ongoing mentorship and coaching for apprentices
• Oversee community relations at industry events
• Monitor apprentice and employer outcomes
Requirements:
• Best suited for candidates with 3–5 years in workforce development
• Experience in the non-profit sector is advantageous
• Must hold a valid G Driver’s license
• Flexibility for travel and evening calls
• Capacity to lift light equipment
Help grow the skilled trades landscape by fostering relationships and guiding apprentices in their career pathways.
