The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with experience working on electrical and hydraulic components, including the ability to read schematics. Hourly rate ranges from $32 to $48 per hour depending on skill and experience, with potential overtime and a $1,500 sign‑on bonus. Job openings exist across the U.S. and Canada. Job type: full time, with potential overtime.

• Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Utilize technical support resources (operator manuals, parts catalogs, How Factory, etc.) to troubleshoot, determine procedures, and identify required parts for repair.
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and generate reports.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
• Execute all tasks in compliance with Altec Safety practices and procedures.
• Advise supervisors of situations that may impact customer relationships.
• Provide accurate information on all required documentation.
• Demonstrate Altec Company Values in daily performance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma, provincially‑approved equivalent, or GED.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to move objects and tools up to 75 pounds, frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
• High level of dexterity.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office.
• Drive motor vehicles; ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to support customer by working overtime.
• Advocate safety in all activities.
• Previous mechanic and/or equipment service experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes, construction, mining, farm equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers or tractors, aircraft and aerospace or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE), or similar equipment.
• Education in mechanics, electrical or hydraulic systems.
