Job Summary

The Diesel Technician at Hogan Chevrolet Buick GMC Limited is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and performing maintenance on all types of diesel‑powered light and heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment. This full-time position is based in Scarborough, ON.

Must be licensed 310S or 310T with minimum 2 years

This is a full‑time position paying $40 to $50 per hour, paid biweekly. Benefits of employment include the use of Hogan Chevrolet Buick GMC’s tools and shop equipment.

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and performance issues on all types of diesel‑powered vehicles and heavy equipment
• Work on diesel engines and related vehicles, repairing components and testing after completion
• Monitor working condition of diesel‑powered systems and components
• Follow diagnostic test procedures and analyze results
• Perform scheduled maintenance services
• Repair or replace fuel injection systems, braking systems, electronic engine controls, and engine components
• Stay up‑to‑date on current technology and images

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• A valid Ontario driver’s license and good driving record
• Relevant experience with diesel engine systems/components and tools
• Knowledge of related automotive systems (electrical, drive train, suspension, etc.)
• Ability to read technical schematics and diagrams
• Must be able to work independently and efficiently
