• Interpret welding process specifications
• Operate manual, semi‑automatic, or fully automated welding equipment
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes
• Examine welds and ensure compliance with standards and/or specifications
• Operate flame‑cutting equipment, torch‑straighten metal, and oxygen‑arc (AOC) cutting equipment
• Determine weldability of materials
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
