Road Service Technician

Position: Road Service Technician at Johnston Equipment
Join Johnston Equipment as a Road Service Technician, where your technical skills will enhance customer productivity across job sites. Conduct maintenance checks and diagnostics on lift trucks and automated systems.

This role demands a hands-on, self-starting individual with an appreciation for technical challenges. You will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of trucks while diagnosing and executing repair solutions. Relationship-building with customers is essential, as you will be their primary contact for service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine condition and integrity of lift trucks

• Diagnose defective mechanical or electrical parts

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance checks

• Document breakdowns and repair procedures

• Communicate effectively with clients on service needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years as a Mechanical Technician

• Truck and Coach Certification (310T) preferred

• Knowledge of industrial equipment and diagnostics

• Solid understanding of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures

• Valid driver’s license required
