What you’ll do as Power Technician 2:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment.
• Commission multiple canopy generators and single containerized generators.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs.
• Work alone or teamed with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.
• Travel locally on a daily basis in your company vehicle, with potential for overtime, weekends, and additional travel.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience working on Cummins diesel power/natural gas generators, mechanics, or electricians and/or commercial, performing inspections, maintenance, and repair.
• Journeyman HET (off‑Road) or Journeyman Electrician.
• Experienced with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading and understanding schematics.
• Ready to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or a valid DOT medical card, if required by customer needs.
• Able to move or lift objects typically less than 50 lbs.
• Holder of a valid driver’s license.
